The CBSE Class 12 Admit Card 2026 has been officially released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for students appearing in the 2026 board examinations. This admit card is a vital document that every Class 12 student must carry to the examination centre. Without it, students will not be permitted to enter the exam hall or attend board papers.

The board exams for Class 12 are scheduled to begin on February 17, 2026 and continue until April 10, 2026. With the admit cards now released, here is everything you need to know — from how to download your admit card to important details and guidelines before the exams.

2.0How to Download CBSE Class 12 Admit Card

The procedure remains divided between regular school-going students and those appearing privately.

For Regular Students

Regular students cannot download the admit card from the public portal.

  • Schools access the Pariksha Sangam portal using their institutional LoC (List of Candidates) credentials.
  • The school downloads and prints the cards for all Science, Commerce, and Humanities students.
  • Mandatory: Students must collect the card from their school, ensuring it has the Principal’s signature and the School Stamp.

For Private Candidates

  1. Visit the official CBSE portal: cbse.gov.in.
  2. Click on the "Private Candidates" section.
  3. Select the "Admit Card" download option.
  4. Login using your Application Number, Previous Roll Number, or Full Name.
  5. Print the admit card in color (recommended) for better clarity of the photograph.

Frequently Asked Questions

Immediately report the error to your school authorities. They will initiate a correction request through the CBSE OASIS/Pariksha Sangam portal. Corrections are difficult to make once the exams begin.

No. You must carry the original hard copy provided by your school (or downloaded and signed). Entry is strictly prohibited if you only present a digital version on a smartphone.

The room invigilator is required to sign your physical admit card for every subject you appear in. Lamination prevents them from signing, which could lead to administrative issues. Use a transparent plastic pouch instead.

While the admit card is the primary document, most centers require your current (2025-26) School ID card as secondary proof. Carry both to avoid any last-minute hassles.
