Improve Weak Areas First

3.0Answer-Writing & Presentation Tips

Effective writing abilities are essential to obtaining better grades at the end of year exams.

  • Utilize headings, subpoints, and proper numbering
  • Underline key words
  • Begin long answers with a brief introductory paragraph
  • Describe points in a logical, sequential order
  • Finish with a strong conclusion
  • Be as neat as possible, with consistent spacing
  • Follow the marking scheme - don't write too much and or add in irrelevant content

4.0Diagram Practice Tips

Diagrams are extremely useful in subjects like Biology, Geography, Physics, and Chemistry. Neat, symmetrical, proportionate, correctly labelled diagrams, will get students full marks.

  • Practice drawing diagrams in pencil and then label with pen (make sure your pen matches your diagram):
  • Use straight lines, and keep the space between diagrams consistent
  • Complete diagrams proved based questions from past papers
  • Keep diagrams neat, proportionate, and consistent
  • Having precise diagrams is one way to guarantee full marks.

5.0Time Management Strategies

It is crucial to use time wisely within an exam in order to answer each question. Students should plan how much time to take based on the marks awarded, do the simple questions first, and leave 10-15 minutes at the end for any final check of the paper.

  • Spend 2-3 minutes on one-mark questions
  • Create a longer period of time for long answer questions
  • Do the easy questions first to build momentum
  • Keep the last 10-15 minutes for final check

6.0Common Mistakes to Avoid

Students miss marks for reasons which could have been avoided; some round examples are customary, of: not looking at past papers; skim-studying subjects; and all-nighters the day before exams. Messy/misshapen writing, or disadvantageously prescriptive, diagrams, also lose marks for students:

  • Reading all the chapters skim-style/without detail
  • So-called neglecting questions/chapters/topics with high weights towards marks
  • Not attempting past-year questions and each chapter/topic
  • Committing and sleeping with distance from the exam with the paper next to them
  • Not practising articulating whilst writing, or not practising doing full-length exams.

7.0Motivation & Mindset

A strong attitude is important for success in the MP Board exam. Cultivating positivity, consistency, and discipline allows students to overcome stress and maintain focus on their work. Making and regulating daily goals, reviewing mistakes, and visualizing success will promote confidence.

  • Make a daily study plan and stick to it
  • Review mistakes and continually improve them
  • Believe in yourself - scores in exams will naturally rise as you maintain discipline
  • Stay calm, focused, and confident
  • Don't fall into the trap of comparing your level of preparation against others
  • Visualize walking out of the exam with ease

8.0Quick Resource Checklist

Using studied resources to an extent and quality is a must when studying. There is nothing more important than the MP Board textbooks in class  12. Reference books address subjects in more depth. Past year papers will get you up to speed for exam-type thinking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Students should study between classic 4–6 hours each day divining the time between shorter focused sessions of approximately 45–60 minutes. The quantity of time spent on study is less important than the continuity of that study time.

Absolutely! Completing past year papers is hugely beneficial because it helps students understand the pattern of types of questions being asked, weightage, content being repeated, and even improving improvements to correct answers based on their ideas of critical thinking and reasoning even the amount of time spent answering the real exam.

At a minimum, it is helpful for each student to do at least 3 full revisions before the final exam that should include revising chapter by chapter, revising entire subjects including all chapters in those, and finally doing one last last revision just before the exam.

Subjects that feature constant numericals and diagrams, but not only quantitative analysis, even qualitative are ideal subjects to practice daily for example, in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Accounts, Economics, Biology, etc.
