2.0How to Download the Admit Card for Tamil Nadu Class 10 Exams

Here are the general steps to download/obtain the admit card:

  1. For regular students: The admit card is usually downloaded by the school/institution head from DGE TN and then distributed to students.
  2. For private candidates :
  • Visit the official DGE TN website: dge.tn.gov.in
  • On the homepage, navigate to “Hall Ticket” or “Admit Card” section
  • Select the relevant link: “SSLC / Class 10 Admit Card 2025-26”.
  • Enter required credentials: Application/Registration number or Permanent Register Number, Date of Birth.
  • Submit and download the admit card PDF. Print a copy and keep it safe.

3.0Details Mentioned on the Tamil Nadu Class 10 Admit Card

The admit card issued to the students during the Tamil Nadu Class 10 Exam will typically list the following information:

  • Student’s name, class/standard, roll number.
  • Date of Birth of the student.
  • Examination details: subject names, subject codes, exam dates and timings.
  • Examination centre name and address.
  • Photograph and signature of the student.
  • Important instructions for students on exam day (what to carry, what is prohibited, etc.).
  • Board name: Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu.

4.0Important Instructions for Students Regarding the TN Class 10 Admit Card

  • Carry the original printed admit card (and any required ID proof) to the exam centre each day. Without it, you may be denied entry
  • Verify all details on the admit card as soon as you get it. If any detail (name, roll number, exam centre, photo) is incorrect, report immediately to your school/institution or DGE TN.
  • Keep the admit card safe and intact until the results are declared and higher studies admission is over. Some institutions may ask for it later.
  • On exam days, arrive at the centre well in time (about 30 minutes early), bring the required stationery, follow the dress code/uniform if applicable, and comply with the invigilator's instructions.
  • Avoid carrying prohibited items, such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or other electronic devices (unless explicitly allowed).
