  1. What is adolescence?
  • Adolescence begins approximately at the age of 11 and ends by the age of 18 or 19. 
  • characterized by attaining puberty, the stage at which the body begins to undergo physical and hormonal changes. 
  1. Change that occurs at puberty
  • Increase in height and weight takes place rapidly.
  • Changing voices, boys especially, will be pronounced deeper.
