Sol.

Milk per day = 1/2 glass.

Milk in a week (7 days) = 1/2 x 7 = 7/2 glasses.

Milk in January (31 days) = 1/2 x 31 = 31/2 glasses.

Answer: Tenzin drinks 7/2 glasses in one week and 31/2 glasses in the month of January.

2.A team of workers can make 1 km of a water canal in 8 days. So, in one day, the team can make ____ km of the water canal. If they work 5 days a week, they can make____ km of the water canal in a week.

Sol.

Length of canal made in one day = 1 / 8 km.

Length of canal made in a week (5 working days) = 1/8 x 5 = 5/8 km.

Answer: The team can make 1/8 km of the water canal in one day and 5/8 km in a week.

3. Manju and two of her neighbours buy 5 litres of oil every week and share it equally among the 3 families. How much oil does each family get in a week? How much oil will one family get in 4 weeks?
