4.0Eligibility Requirements for Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling 2026
Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to register for UP NEET UG Counselling 2025:
- NEET UG Eligibility: Must have appeared and qualified the NEET UG 2025 examination by securing the minimum qualifying percentile.
- Nationality: Indian Nationals are eligible. NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals can also apply for seats under specific quotas (e.g., NRI quota in private colleges).
- Domicile (for 85% State Quota):
- Candidates who have passed both Class 10 and Class 12 (or equivalent) from schools located in Uttar Pradesh are eligible. They generally do not need a separate domicile certificate.
- Candidates who are residents of Uttar Pradesh but have passed Class 10 or 12 from outside the state must produce a valid domicile certificate issued by the competent authority in Uttar Pradesh.
- Age Limit: Must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit.
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

10.0Documents Required for UP NEET Counselling 2026
Candidates must keep both original documents and their self-attested photocopies ready for verification at every stage of the counselling and admission process.

11.0Reservation Policy in UP NEET Counselling 2026
Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid category certificates during counselling.
12.0Reporting to the Allotted College
Candidates who are allotted a seat and wish to accept it must download their allotment letter and report to the respective college within the stipulated timeframe with all original documents and photocopies for physical verification. Candidates must complete the admission formalities and pay the remaining college fees.
Important Rules Regarding Counselling Rounds
- Round 1: Candidates have the option of "Free Exit" if they are not satisfied and "Upgrade" for Round 2.
- Round 2: Candidates will lose the security deposit if they are allotted a seat and do not join. Candidates who joined in Round 1 can upgrade. If they upgrade, they lose their Round 1 seat. If they do not upgrade, they retain their allotted seat.
- Mop-Up Round: Fresh registration is generally allowed. Candidates allotted and joined a seat in the Mop-Up Round are generally not allowed to resign, cancel the seat, or participate in further rounds.
- Stray Vacancy Round: Conducted by colleges for remaining vacant seats. Only candidates on the state merit list without any allotted seat from previous rounds are eligible. Fresh registration is generally not allowed.
