NEET UG 2024 examination Result OUT: The NEET UG results have been declared in online mode in the form of scorecards by NTA on the official website. Candidates can easily check their NEET-UG Result 2024 online with these steps:

• Visit the official NTA website - https://neet.ntaonline.in/ or https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/NEET2024SC.html 
• Input your Application Number and Date of Birth (or password) - the same details used during NEET 2024 registration.
•  Click the "Submit" button to proceed.
•  You will be taken to the next page where your NEET result will be displayed.
• Download and save your scorecard. Don't forget to take a printout for counselling and admission requirements.

To determine eligibility, candidates must meet the NEET qualifying marks 2024 which vary depending on their category. The specific cutoff scores for each category are usually published by the NTA after the NEET exam results are announced. According to the NTA press release, the cutoff marks of NEET 2024 is higher than last year because the number of NEET candidates was more than last year and the difficulty level of the exam was easier than last year.

6.0NEET 2024 Result: How to Calculate the Percentile Score?

To crack the NEET UG exam, at least 50 percentile is required. There are two methods to calculate the NEET percentile.

Based on Marks : Compare the raw score to the top NEET raw score. The formula for NEET exam percentile calculation based on marks is: 

Score Percentile = [Your NEET Score/Topper’s NEET Score]*100

Based on Rank : Use your estimated NEET rank and the total number of qualifying NEET candidates. The formula for NEET exam percentile calculation by rank is-

Rank Percentile = [(Number of Qualifying Candidates-Candidate’s Personal NEET rank)/Total Number of Appeared Candidates

7.0NEET 2024 Result Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more candidates achieve same marks or percentile scores in NEET(UG) – 2024, the ranking will be decided using the following criteria:

Criteria 1: If candidates have the same scores in NEET(UG) – 2024, the one with the higher Physics score gets a higher rank.

Criteria 2: If there's still a tie, the candidate with a higher Chemistry score is ranked higher.

Criteria 3: Next, a better Biology score is used to break the tie.

Criteria 4: If the tie continues, the least number of wrong answers give a candidate a higher rank.

Criteria 5: Candidates with fewer incorrect and correct answers in Physics get an edge.

Criteria 6: Candidates with fewer incorrect and correct answers in Chemistry are prioritized.

Criteria 7: Fewer incorrect and correct answers in Biology favour candidates.

Criteria 8: Older candidates get preference according to their age.

Criteria 9: As a last resort, application numbers are considered in ascending order.

8.0NEET 2024 Merit List

Following the release of the NEET 2024 official answer key, the NTA has announced the NEET merit list also. Based on the candidates' combined marks, the NEET merit list will be created. The three different NEET Merit Lists released by the National Testing Agency are listed in the table below.

9.0What after NEET 2024 Results are Announced?

There are two counsellings, namely All India Quota Counselling and State Quota Counselling. After the NEET 2024 results are announced, the Medical Counselling Committee and different state counselling authorities will publish category-wise NEET cut-offs for the candidates to get admission. This will include the minimum score that a candidate needs in the examination and the last rank required for MBBS and BDS admissions. 

The NEET 2024 merit list gets published after the results are announced. Based on the scores and ranks obtained by the aspirants, they are shortlisted. Those who qualify as per the NEET 2024 cut-off, will become eligible for the counselling round.
