Candidates can easily check their NEET-UG Result 2026 online with these steps:
- Visit the official NTA website(s) - nta.ac.in/ and neet.nta.nic.in/
- Input your Application Number and Date of Birth (or password) - the same details used during NEET 2026 registration.
- Click the "Submit" button to proceed.
- You will be taken to the next page where your NEET result will be displayed.
- Download and save your scorecard. Don't forget to take a printout for counselling and admission requirements.

To crack the NEET UG exam, at least 50 percentile is required. There are two methods to calculate the NEET percentile.

6.0NEET 2026 Result Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more candidates achieve same marks or percentile scores in NEET(UG) – 2026, the ranking will be decided using the following criteria:
Criteria 1: If candidates have the same scores in NEET(UG) – 2026, the one with the higher Biology (Botany and Zoology) score gets a higher rank.
Criteria 2: If there's still a tie, the candidate with a higher Chemistry score is ranked higher.
Criteria 3: Next, a better Physics score is used to break the tie.
Criteria 4: If the tie continues, the least number of wrong answers give a candidate a higher rank.
Criteria 5: Candidates with fewer incorrect and correct answers in Biology get an edge.
Criteria 6: Candidates with fewer incorrect and correct answers in Chemistry are prioritized.
Criteria 7: Fewer incorrect and correct answers in Physics favour candidates.
If all the criteria mentioned above fail to determine the rank, the issue of awarding ranks will be resolved through a random process under the guidance of an independent expert committee.

10.0What after NEET 2026 Results are Announced?
There are two counsellings, namely All India Quota Counselling and State Quota Counselling. After the NEET 2026 results are announced, the Medical Counselling Committee and different state counselling authorities will publish category-wise NEET cut-offs for the candidates to get admission. This will include the minimum score that a candidate needs in the examination and the last rank required for MBBS and BDS admissions.
The NEET 2026 merit list gets published after the results are announced. Based on the scores and ranks obtained by the aspirants, they are shortlisted. Those who qualify as per the NEET 2026 cut-off, will become eligible for the counselling round.
