1. How is neem useful to farmers?

Ans: Neem helps prevent mosquitoes from breeding.  Their seeds are also ground into powder, mixed with water, and sprayed on crops to repel termites, locusts, and insects. Thus farmers find neem beneficial.


2. Mention some of the uses of the neem tree.

Answer: Some of the uses of neem trees are:

  • Neem wood is resistant to termites hence can be used in some furniture.
  • The twigs of neem are used for cleaning teeth and trees are said to purify air.
  • Parts of the neem tree are of high medicinal value and their leaves are used to safeguard grains in storage.
