Assam State Quota in JEE Counselling 2026
The Assam State Quota in JEE Counselling refers to the admission process for B.Tech. programmes conducted through the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) Counselling 2026. The counselling is organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, for admissions to Government Engineering Colleges across the state, while the entrance examination is conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU).
Unlike JoSAA Counselling, which is conducted for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs using JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks, Assam State Quota admissions are primarily based on Assam CEE ranks. Candidates seeking admission to Government engineering colleges in Assam must qualify the Assam CEE 2026 and participate in the centralized counselling process. The Assam CEE 2026 result has already been declared, and the counselling process is expected to begin shortly.
