West Bengal State Quota in JEE Counselling 2026
The West Bengal State Quota in JEE Counselling refers to the admission process for B.Tech programmes conducted through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). Admissions are offered to Government, Government-Aided, University, and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges across the state through WBJEE Counselling 2026.
Unlike JoSAA Counselling, which allocates seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks, West Bengal engineering admissions are primarily based on WBJEE ranks. However, selected private engineering colleges reserve up to 10% of their approved seats for candidates with valid JEE Main ranks, allowing them to participate in WBJEE counselling without a WBJEE rank.
The WBJEE 2026 counselling process has commenced, with registration and choice filling starting from 30 June 2026, followed by multiple rounds of seat allotment.
