4.0ICSO Eligibility Criteria
There are no specific eligibility conditions for the International Computer Science Olympiad. 1st to 10th-grade students are eligible to participate in the SOF ICSO. There are no additional eligibility criteria, such as minimum marks required.
5.0How To Apply for International Computer Science Olympiad
Below, we have provided step-by-step information about the ICSO Registration Process. You must complete the registration process, and then you can take the exam.
Initiation of Registration
- SOF provides a prospectus with registration forms to affiliated schools.
- Non-affiliated schools can acquire the prospectus by reaching out to SOF.
Completion of Registration
- A coordinating teacher at each school is responsible for filling out the School Registration Form (SRF) and Students' Registration Sheet.
- These forms need to be returned to SOF by the established deadline.
Fee Details
- Local Schools (India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal): ₹125 per student (GST included).
- International Schools: US$9 per student.
- Additional Charges: Schools may levy an extra ₹25 per student for administrative and teaching support.
- Fee Waivers: Available for students with significant disabilities or those who are children of martyred defense personnel.
6.0International Computer Science Olympiad Exam Pattern

The results of the ICSO 2024 exam will be declared by the officials on the SOF's official website once it is successfully conducted. Students can access the ICSO result using their credentials. Each student who applied for the exam will receive a Student Participation Certificate and a Student Performance Report.
9.0ICSO (International Computer Science Olympiad) Awards
SOF awards top performers at both international and zonal levels a range of awards, including cash prizes, medals, and certificates.
International Level Awards for ICSO 2024
- The top 10 first-place winners will receive Rs. 50,000 each, a gold medal, and an outstanding performance certificate.
- The top 10 second-place winners will receive Rs. 25,000 each, a silver medal, and an outstanding performance certificate.
- The top 10 third-place winners will receive Rs. 10,000 each, a bronze medal, and an outstanding performance certificate.
Zonal Level Awards for ICSO 2024
- 260 first-place zonal winners will each get Rs. 1,000, a zonal gold medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
- 260 second-place zonal winners will each receive Rs. 1,000, a zonal silver medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
- 260 third-place zonal winners will each receive Rs. 1,000, a zonal bronze medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
- 1820 students ranked 4th to 10th will receive awards, including gifts valued at Rs. 500, a medal of distinction, and a certificate of merit.
- 3900 students ranked 11th to 25th will receive a medal of distinction and a certificate of merit.
