There are no minimum mark requirements. Therefore, students in grade 9 are eligible to compete in the International Mathematical Olympiad first level. To proceed to the second level, students should fulfill the requirements listed below:

2 | Registered schools receive a prospectus with registration forms. Unregistered schools can request one via email at info@sofworld.org or by calling 0124-4951200. |
3 | Schools must submit completed registration forms by the due date. |
4 | Coordinating teachers complete the School Registration Form (SRF) and Students' Registration Sheet (SRS) and send them to the SOF. |
5 | The SOF generates roll numbers for students based on the SRS. |
6 | Students must register through their schools because SOF does not accept direct applications. |
7 | Schools choose one of the three dates offered for IMO Level 1, each with a unique set of questions. |
8 | Registration Fee: Rs 125 per student in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal (US$9 for other countries). Schools may add Rs 25 per student for local expenses (US$1 for different countries). There is no fee for students with major disabilities or Indian students with a martyred parent. |
