International Olympiad of Science
The International Olympiad of Sciences (IOS) is an annual exam organized by the SilverZone Foundation. It's designed to know how good students are in and understand Science. This large competition is available for students of Science in Indian schools and schools all over the world. It provides them with an opportunity to judge their abilities on an international platform. IOS test covers school board topics such as CBSE, ICSE, and state boards. It wishes to make the students proficient in Science. But aside from winning, the contest wishes to enable a solid foundation in Science. Participation in IOS makes the students more analytical, solve problems, and know Science inside out. All these will serve them well in their studies and careers later.
One of the best things about IOS is that students receive a detailed report after the test. The report informs them where they are good and where they need to improve. 2.0IOS 2025 Exam Dates
It's essential to stay updated on the latest dates announced by Silverzone for the International Olympiad of Science and related events. There will be two dates for the exam announced by the officials. For your reference, we have provided the following table:

3.0IOS 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Level 1:
- Open to all students in grades 1 through 12.
Level 2:
- Only available to students who participated in Level 1.
- The top 1,000 ranked students from Level 1, who scored at least 50%, are eligible.
- Exception for Grade 1: Students who placed first in Grade 1 with a score of at least 75% and whose school had at least 100 other students in that grade level may also qualify for Level 2.
Level 3:
- The program is only available to students who competed in Level 2 and ranked first in their grade levels (6th-12th).
4.0IOS 2025 Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Concept of the syllabus and pattern of exam plays a very significant role in forming your preparation plan for the SilverZone Olympiads. It not only helps you to focus your studies accordingly but also to get used to the exam pattern.
The new pattern and syllabus of the latest exam have been announced by the authorities, such as the list of key topics, number of questions, and marking schemes.
Yet, it's to be noted that the final marking schema can be different on the basis of the test paper makers' decisions. For class 1 to class 12, the revised IOS 2025 Exam Syllabus and test pattern are given below:
5.0IOS 2025 Test Duration
The test will be in English only, and it is for students in first through 12th grade. Here's what you can expect:
- For Classes 1-2: There will be 25 questions, and you'll have 40 minutes.
- Classes 3-5: There will be 30 questions and 40 minutes to complete them.
- For Classes 6-8: There will be 35 questions, and you'll have 40 minutes as well.
- For Classes 9-12: There will be 40 questions, and you'll get 50 minutes.
Along with the question papers, you'll receive all the specific instructions. From 3rd grade onwards, you will have OMR answer sheets.
There will be multiple-choice answers to the questions. You don't have to worry if you guess wrong - there are no penalties!

7.0IOS 2025 Result
The online announcement of the IOS 2025-26 Level 1 exam results will be available on the official website. Successful candidates will advance to the IOS 2025-26 Level 2 exam. The Level 3 examination is going to be held in May/June 2025(Tentative), and its results are anticipated to be revealed by August/September 2026(Tentative).
8.0IOS 2025 Rankings and Rewards

IOS 2025 Level 3 Rewards:
The top two students from each subject have an exciting opportunity for an educational excursion abroad for the Math & Science Olympiad, including a visit to NASA in the USA.
IOS 2025 Level 2 Rewards:
- Level 1 and Level 2 Prizes will be determined based on results from Level 1 and interviews, whether conducted in person or remotely via audio or video.
- If up to 10 students achieve the same rank, they will equally split the prize money.
- Each winner will receive a Gold Medal of Excellence and a Certificate in their respective category.
- If 11 or more students share the same rank, each winner will be awarded a Medal of Excellence and a Certificate in their category instead of cash prizes.
