SilverZone International Olympiad of Science (iOS) 2026-27: Eligibility, Syllabus, Exam Pattern & Dates
The International Olympiad of Sciences (IOS) is an annual exam organised by the SilverZone Foundation. It's designed to know how good students are in and understand Science. This large competition is available for students of Science in Indian schools and schools all over the world. It provides them with an opportunity to judge their abilities on an international platform.
IOS test covers school board topics such as CBSE, ICSE, and state boards. It wishes to make the students proficient in Science. But aside from winning, the contest wishes to enable a solid foundation in Science. Participation in IOS makes the students more analytical, solve problems, and know Science inside out. All these will serve them well in their studies and careers later.

1.0SilverZone Level 2 Olympiad Results (2025-26) by ALLEN
Our students excelled in SilverZone Level 2 Olympiads—International Olympiad of Science (iOS), Mathematics (iOM), and English Language (iOEL). A total of 62 students achieved perfect scores, including 42 in iOS, 9 in iOM, and 11 in iOEL. Alongside this, multiple students secured positions within the Top 100 ranks across all three exams. Students from Classes 6 to 12 who secured 1st rank at Level 2 have qualified for Level 3, reflecting their strong academic excellence and consistency.

5.0iOS 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
Level 1:
- Open to all students in Classes 1 through 12.
Level 2:
- Only available to students who participated in Level 1.
- The top 1,000 ranked students from Level 1, who scored at least 50%, are eligible.
- Exception for Grade 1: Students who placed first in Grade 1 with a score of at least 75% and whose school had at least 100 other students in that grade level may also qualify for Level 2.
Level 3:
- The program is only available to students who competed in Level 2 and ranked first in their grade levels (6th-12th).

6.0iOS 2026-27 Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Concept of the syllabus and pattern of exam plays a very significant role in forming your preparation plan for the SilverZone Olympiads. It not only helps you to focus your studies accordingly but also to get used to the exam pattern.
The new pattern and syllabus of the latest exam have been announced by the authorities, such as the list of key topics, number of questions, and marking schemes.
Yet, it's to be noted that the final marking schema can be different on the basis of the test paper makers' decisions. For classes 1 to 12, the revised IOS 2025 Exam Syllabus and test pattern are given below:
7.0IOS 2026 Test Duration
The test will be in English only, and it is for students in first through 12th grade. Here's what you can expect:
- For Classes 1-2: There will be 25 questions, and you'll have 40 minutes.
- Classes 3-5: There will be 30 questions and 40 minutes to complete them.
- For Classes 6-8: There will be 35 questions, and you'll have 40 minutes as well.
- For Classes 9-12: There will be 40 questions, and you'll get 50 minutes.
Along with the question papers, you'll receive all the specific instructions. From 3rd grade onwards, you will have OMR answer sheets.
There will be multiple-choice answers to the questions. You don't have to worry if you guess wrong - there are no penalties!
8.0How to Register for iOS 2026-27
Registration is only through schools. Students cannot apply individually.
- Visit the iOS registration portal and enter your unique School Code.
- Provide your school details and basic personal information.
- Select the Olympiad exam: International Olympiad of Science (iOS).
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Check all details carefully before payment.
- Pay the registration fee online (USD 10 for international students; Rs. 125 for offline registration in India).
9.0iOS Admit Card 2026-27
SilverZone sends admit cards to schools before the exam, and students collect them from school. Carry your admit card on exam day, and check that your name, class, and roll number are correct.

Students should check the official SilverZone website for the announcement of International Olympiad of Science results. Result availability and the process for accessing score information may depend on the examination session and the instructions issued by the organising body.

11.0iOS Rankings and Rewards

IOS 2026 Level 3 Rewards:
The top two students from each subject have an exciting opportunity for an educational excursion abroad for the Math & Science Olympiad, including a visit to NASA in the USA.
IOS 2026 Level 2 Rewards:
- Level 1 and Level 2 Prizes will be determined based on results from Level 1 and interviews, whether conducted in person or remotely via audio or video.
- If up to 10 students achieve the same rank, they will equally split the prize money.
- Each winner will receive a Gold Medal of Excellence and a Certificate in their respective category.
- If 11 or more students share the same rank, each winner will be awarded a Medal of Excellence and a Certificate in their category instead of cash prizes.
