1.0IMO Class 2 Exam Dates 2026-27
SOF has announced the IMO 2026-27 exam dates on its official website. Schools choose one date, and each date has a different question paper.

2.0IMO Class 2 Eligibility Criteria
Class 2 students enrolled in a school recognised by SOF can participate, and there are no other eligibility requirements. Class 2 students do not appear for a Level 2 exam. Their performance is assessed from the Level 1 result. Only students of Classes 3 to 12 (the class-wise top 5% of Level 1) qualify for Level 2.
3.0IMO Class 2 Syllabus 2026-27
The IMO syllabus tests math skills for Class 2. It gets harder as students move up grades. The latest syllabus includes four sections in each class's question paper.

4.0IMO Class 2 Exam Pattern 2026-27 and Marking Scheme
Students of Class 2 are only eligible for the Level 1 Exam. You can find detailed information about the exam pattern and how marks are awarded for Class 2 below.
5.0IMO Class 2 Registration 2026-27
Students can only apply through their schools. Individual registration is not allowed. Schools submit the application at least 30 days before the chosen exam date.
- Schools register with SOF as an Olympiad centre, which is free.
- SOF sends the prospectus and registration forms to registered schools. Unregistered schools can email info@sofworld.org or call 0124-4951200.
- Parents submit the form and fee to the school.
- Schools choose one exam date and send registrations and fees to SOF.
IMO Registration Fee: ₹170 per student in India, Bhutan, and Nepal. The previous year's fee was ₹125.
6.0IMO Class 2 Admit Card
SOF sends admit cards to participating schools before the exam. Students collect them from school and carry them on exam day.

8.0IMO Answer Key, Cutoff and Result 2026-27
- Answer key: SOF makes it available a few weeks after each exam date. Last year, the Set C answer key came out on 2 January 2026.
- Result: Level 1 results are tentatively expected in January 2027. Last year's result was on 15 January 2026, with the cutoff released a day earlier.
- Where to check: sofworld.org and results.sofworld.org, using the student's credentials.
- Every student gets a Student Performance Report (SPR) and a participation certificate.
