To be eligible for AP EAPCET 2026, candidates should either have completed or be in the last year of their Class 12 or its equivalent, as recognized by a valid educational board or university. The necessary subjects for qualification are Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Candidates must have attained the age of 16 by December 31, 2026. However, for specialized programs such as B.Tech in Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, and Food Science & Technology, candidates need to be at least 17 years old by the same date.

Candidates must be Andhra Pradesh or Telangana residents to be eligible for AP EAPCET 2026.

Yes, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related vocational courses in Engineering are mandatory for AP EAPCET 2026 eligibility.

To be eligible for AP EAPCET 2026, candidates must be Indian nationals, persons of Indian origin (PIO), or overseas citizens of India (OCI) cardholders.

Candidates must have a minimum aggregate score of 45% (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in all subjects combined.

AP EAPCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria for AP EAPCET 2026 (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test), formerly known as AP EAMCET, have been specified in the official notification.

The eligibility criteria are prescribed by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) in consultation with the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). JNTUK continues to conduct AP EAPCET on behalf of APSCHE. The eligibility criteria include specific requirements related to educational qualifications, age limit, nationality, and academic standards. Aspirants must carefully review and comply with these conditions before applying for the examination. The detailed eligibility requirements are provided in the official AP EAPCET 2026 notification.

Nationality

  • Must be a resident citizen of India
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are also eligible.

Domicile Requirements

  • Candidates should be from Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and meet
  • Local/Non-Local status requirements.

Age Limit

  • For Engineering and Pharmacy courses: At least 16 years old as of December 31, 2026; no upper age limit
  • For B.Tech (Dairy Tech.), B.Tech (Agr. Engg.), B.Tech. (Food Science & Tech.), B.Sc. (Agr. Engg.):

Minimum age of 17 years as of December 31, 2026

The Upper age limit is 22 years (25 years for SC/ST candidates).

Academic Qualifications

  • Must have passed Class 12 from the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana or equivalent. Candidates appearing for Class 12 are also eligible.
  • Mandatory study of Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry or related vocational courses in Engineering.
  • Eligible if passed or in the final year of the Engineering Diploma by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Minimum

Marks Required

  • General Category: Minimum of 45% aggregate in all subjects
  • Reserved Category: Minimum of 40% aggregate.

1.0AP EAPCET Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Stream

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed their Intermediate (12th grade) in Engineering/Technology or an equivalent course, as recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

Subject Requirements: Candidates must have completed their Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry studies as optional or relevant vocational courses.

Alternative Qualification: Candidates who are either appearing for or have passed the final year of the Engineering Diploma examination conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana are also eligible. 

2.0AP EAPCET Eligibility Criteria for Agriculture/ Medical Stream

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed their 12th-level examination from a board or institution accredited in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

Subject Requirements for Pharm.D: Students should have completed their Intermediate (12th grade) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as optional subjects or an equivalent, as recognized by the BIE of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

Alternative Qualification for Pharm.D: Eligibility also extends to students in the final year or who have passed the Pharmacy Diploma examination conducted by the SBTET in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.
