6.0Best Books for PU CET UG Preparation

Top scorers recommend utilizing NCERT as the foundation followed by specialized reference books to master MCQs.

  • Physics:
    • Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma.
    • Fundamental Physics by Pradeep.
  • Chemistry:
    • Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by R.C. Mukherjee.
    • Organic Chemistry by Morrison & Boyd.
  • Biology:
    • Trueman's Objective Biology (Vol. I & II).
    • MTG Objective NCERT at your Fingertips.
  • Mathematics: NCERT Class 11 & 12 textbooks and Exemplar problems.

7.0Preparation Tips to Crack PU CET UG 2026

  1. Master NCERT: Approximately 80-90% of questions are based directly on NCERT concepts. Ensure every chapter in Class 11 and 12 is thoroughly understood.
  2. Solve Previous Year Papers: Practicing past papers helps in identifying repeated question patterns and managing time effectively.
  3. Time Management: With only 70 minutes per subject, speed and accuracy are crucial. Regular mock tests can help build this stamina.
  4. Avoid Guesswork: Due to the 0.5 negative marking, only attempt questions you are confident about.
