1.0OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2026: Highlights
OJEE conducts admissions for multiple programs including undergraduate, postgraduate, and lateral-entry courses. Eligibility differs according to the selected course.
2.0General Eligibility Requirements
Before applying for specific courses, all candidates must meet these basic criteria:
1. Nationality
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- NRI/PIO candidates are eligible for admission to supernumerary seats only.
2. Domicile Categories
- Odisha State (S-Category): Required for admission to Government colleges and to avail of state reservations. You must have passed the qualifying exam in Odisha, or your parents must be permanent natives of Odisha (requiring a Tahsildar-issued Nativity Certificate).
- Outside State (ZZ Category): Candidates from other states are eligible for admission to Private colleges only for B.Tech, B.Pharm, and Lateral Entry programs.
3. Age Limit
- General UG Courses: There is generally no age bar to apply for OJEE 2026.
- B.Sc Nursing & B.Pharm: Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2026 (born on or before 31.12.2009).
3.0Course-Wise Educational Qualifications (UG Programs)
1. B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) – 4 Years
- Criteria: Must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
- Electives: One additional subject from Mathematics or Biology.
- Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate in the above subjects (40% for SC/ST candidates).
2. Basic B.Sc Nursing – 4 Years
- Criteria: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent Science/Vocational with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
- Minimum Marks: Secure at least 45% marks in PCB taken together (40% for SC/ST).
- Language Requirement: Candidates must have passed minimum M.E. standard Odia.
- Note: English is a compulsory subject in 10+2.
3. B.CAT (Cinematography / Sound Recording / Film Editing) – 4 Years
- Cinematography & Sound Recording: Passed or appearing in 10+2 Science.
- Film Editing: Passed or appearing in 10+2 Science, Arts, or Commerce.
4. B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Plan
- Admission to the first year of these programs is primarily based on JEE Main 2026 scores. OJEE may conduct a Special OJEE only if seats remain vacant after JEE Main counselling.
4.0Lateral Entry (LE) Eligibility (Admission to 2nd Year)
1. Lateral Entry to B.Tech (3 Years)
- Criteria: Must have passed a minimum 3-year/2-year (LE) Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
- B.Sc Graduates: Also eligible if they have passed a B.Sc degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved) and had Mathematics at 10+2 level.
2. Lateral Entry to B.Pharm (3 Years)
- Criteria: Must have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
5.0OJEE 2026 Reservation Policy (Odisha Natives Only)
Reservations are applicable only to candidates belonging to the S-Category (Odisha State Domicile).
6.0Mandatory Documents for Counselling
Qualified candidates must bring original and photocopies of the following during document verification:
- OJEE 2026 Rank Card and Admit Card.
- 10th and 12th Certificate and Mark sheets.
- Nativity/Resident Certificate (Mandatory for reserved seats and Government colleges).
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST), if applicable, in the online-generated format.
