2.0Step-by-step: Filling the KCET Application form 2026

  1. Create account / register
Visit the official KEA candidate portal (Common Online Application) and click “New Registration” or “UG-CET 2026 Candidate Portal”. Use a working email and mobile number; you will receive your application number and password by SMS/email.
  2. Login and complete personal details
After login enter personal details exactly as they appear on your 10th/12th certificates (name, DOB, parent’s name, Aadhaar where requested). Avoid spelling differences — these cause verification problems later.
  3. Enter academic details
Fill in 10th and 12th (PUC) board, year of passing, roll numbers and marks. If you are awaiting 12th results, there’s usually an option for “appearing” — follow the instructions in the information bulletin. Double-check registration and roll numbers; incorrect entries can block rank generation.
  4. Choose courses / options
Select the courses/streams you wish to be considered for (Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, etc.). Each course requires particular subject combinations — ensure you meet the eligibility before selecting.
  5. Upload scanned documents
Typical uploads: passport-size photograph, candidate signature, left thumb impression, parent/guardian signature and any category/domicile certificates. Follow the file format and size limits shown on the portal (KEA’s PDF lists exact specifications).
  6. Pay the application fee
Pay online (card/netbanking/UPI) or as permitted by KEA. Fee slabs differ for Karnataka candidates vs. those who studied outside Karnataka — check the fee table on the portal. Keep the transaction proof.
  7. Preview and submit
Use the preview option to verify every field. After submission you usually cannot change critical fields except through a limited correction window announced by KEA. Print or save the confirmation page and fee receipt.
