3.0MHTCET PCB Result 2026 — Declared

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) Cell has declared the MHT CET PCB Result 2026 for candidates who appeared in the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) group examination. Students can access their scorecards through the official candidate login portal at the CET Cell website. The result includes subject-wise marks, percentile score, and qualifying status. According to the official CET Cell notification, the PCB First Attempt result was declared on 9 June 2026.

Key Highlights:

  • Result available exclusively online at cetcell.mahacet.org — not sent by post or email
  • Scorecard includes subject-wise marks and percentile calculated up to six decimal places
  • Best-of-two-session policy applies for 2026 — the higher percentile from Session 1 or Session 2 will be considered automatically for merit ranking and CAP counselling

4.0MHTCET PCM Result 2026

The MHT CET PCM Result 2026 has been announced for candidates seeking admission to engineering and technology programmes across Maharashtra. The result is available online through the candidate login portal. The PCM First Attempt result was declared on 15 June 2026, and the result summary was published on 16 June 2026.

5.0How to Check and Download the MHT CET Scorecard 2026

The State CET Cell provides a dedicated online portal for students to access their results securely. Candidates must follow these steps to ensure a smooth download process:

  1. Navigate to the Official Portal: Visit www.mahacet.org or the specific result link notified by the authorities.
  2. Access Result Login: Click on the link for "MHT CET 2026 Result" or "Scorecard Download".
  3. Enter Credentials: Candidates must log in using their Application Number and Date of Birth or Password.
  4. Security Verification: Complete any required captcha or security pin entry.
  5. View Dashboard: Once logged in, the candidate's dashboard will display the option to view the scorecard for PCM or PCB groups.
  6. Download and Print: Download the scorecard in PDF format and take at least two high-quality printouts for the admission process.

Candidates should avoid using mobile browsers if the site is under heavy traffic and instead use a desktop with a stable internet connection.

6.0What Does the MHTCET 2026 Scorecard Contain?

Your MHT CET 2026 scorecard is a comprehensive official document that includes:

  • Candidate's full name and parent's name
  • Application number and date of birth
  • Exam group (PCM / PCB) and session (1st / 2nd attempt)
  • Marks obtained in each subject
  • Subject-wise percentile score (calculated to 6 decimal places)
  • Overall/Aggregate percentile score
  • Candidate's merit rank

7.0How Is the MHTCET 2026 Score Calculated? (Two-Session Policy Explained)

For the first time in 2026, MHTCET was held in two sessions. Here's how your final score works:

  • If you appeared in only one session, that session's percentile is your final score.
  • If you appeared in both sessions, the best percentile from either session is automatically considered — no separate application needed.
  • Both session scorecards will be visible in your candidate dashboard on cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • The consolidated best-score result will be used for CAP counselling eligibility and merit ranking.

Marking Scheme (Session 1 Reference):

  • Physics & Chemistry: 1 mark per correct answer
  • Mathematics: 2 marks per correct answer

8.0Understanding the Normalization and Percentile Method

Because the MHT CET is conducted in multiple shifts with different question sets, the difficulty levels may vary. To ensure fairness, the State CET Cell uses a Normalization Method to compare candidate scores across these different papers.

What is a Percentile Score?

The result is declared as a Percentile Score, not raw marks. A percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below a particular candidate in that specific session.

  • The Topper (highest score) of each session always receives a 100 Percentile.
  • The lowest score of a session will have a percentile depending on the total number of candidates in that session.

The Percentile Calculation Formula

The formula used to determine your normalized score is: 100×Total no. of candidates in the session(No. of candidates appeared in the session with raw score ≤ the candidate’s score)

Technical Highlights of Normalization:

  • Seven Decimal Places: Scores are calculated to seven decimal places to minimize ties and avoid the "bunching effect" among candidates.
  • Subject-wise vs. Total: Percentiles are calculated separately for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
  • Not an Average: The Total Percentile is calculated based on the total raw score of the candidate and is not an average or aggregate of the subject-wise percentiles.
  • Session Neutrality: Candidates are distributed randomly into sessions to ensure there is no bias in the distribution of ability across shifts.

9.0The "Best of Two Attempts" Rule

For the 2026 cycle, candidates have the opportunity to appear for two attempts in their chosen group (PCM or PCB).

  • Score Consideration: If a candidate appears for both sessions, the best of the two Total Percentile scores will be used for the admission process for the academic year 2026-27.
  • Constraint: This "best of" rule applies strictly to the Total Percentile. Candidates cannot mix the best Physics score from session 1 with the best Mathematics score from session 2.
  • Group Integrity: The percentile scores of Physics or Chemistry are not interchanged between PCM and PCB groups even if a candidate appears for both.

10.0Details Mentioned on the MHT CET Scorecard 2026

Your scorecard is a legal document required for all future admission stages. It will contain the following data:

  • Candidate’s Personal Information: Full name, roll number, application number, and father's/mother's name.
  • Subject-wise Percentile Scores: Individual percentile for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (for PCM) or Biology (for PCB).
  • Total Percentile Score: The normalized score based on your aggregate performance across all subjects.
  • Candidate's Photograph and Signature: For identity verification at colleges.

11.0MHT CET 2026 Expected Cut-Off Trends

The cut-off is the minimum percentile or rank required for admission to a specific college or branch. It is determined after each CAP round and depends on factors like the number of applicants, seat availability, and paper difficulty.

Expected Rank vs. Percentile (Indicative Range):

Percentile Range

Expected Rank Range

99 – 90

1 – 19,000

89 – 80

19,001 – 32,000

79 – 70

32,001 – 41,000

69 – 60

41,001 – 47,000

59 – 50

47,001 – 53,000

Expected Rank Cut-Off for Top Institutes:

  • MIT World Peace University (Polymer Engineering): 1995 - 6985
  • KJ Somaiya Institute (Electronics Engineering): 1125 - 1455
  • Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (Dyestuff Technology): 3420 - 5600
  • Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (Electronics Engineering): 1790 - 2015

12.0What Happens After the Result? The CAP Process

Once the results are declared, the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) begins. This is an online portal where candidates register for seat allotment in participating institutes.

The 4 Rounds of CAP:

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must register and upload scanned copies of their documents.
  2. Merit List Release: A provisional merit list is released for objections, followed by a final merit list.
  3. Choice Filling: Candidates select their preferred colleges and branches in order of priority.
  4. Seat Allotment: Based on the merit rank and choices, seats are allotted. Candidates then choose to Freeze, Float, or Slide their allotment.

Mandatory Documents for Admission:

  • MHT CET 2026 Scorecard and Admit Card.
  • 10th and 12th Standard Mark Sheets and Passing Certificates.
  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra (if applicable).
  • Category Certificate (Caste, Validity, Non-Creamy Layer) if applying under reservation.
  • Migration and Character Certificates.
