1.0WBJEE Registration 2026 Overview
WBJEE is a state-level, OMR-based entrance examination conducted for admission into undergraduate courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture.
2.0Important Dates for WBJEE 2026
The Board has updated the schedule, including an extension of the initial registration deadline to allow more students to apply.
- Online Registration Starts: March 10, 2026
- Revised Last Date to Apply (Extended): April 8, 2026
- Application Correction Window: April 10 – April 12, 2026
- Admit Card Release Date: May 15, 2026
- WBJEE 2026 Exam Date: May 24, 2026

3.0Eligibility Criteria: Can You Apply?
Before you start your WBJEE form fill-up, you must ensure you meet the following requirements. The Board strictly verifies these during counseling.
1. Citizenship & Age Limit
- Citizenship: You must be an Indian citizen or an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). OCI candidates are eligible only for unreserved seats in the All-India quota.
- Minimum Age: You must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026. Specifically, you should have been born on or before 31.12.2009.
- Upper Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for most courses.
- Exception for Marine Engineering: For this specific course, you must not be older than 25 years as of December 31, 2026.
2. General Academic Requirements
- Qualifying Exam: You must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 (Class 12) examination in 2026.
- Subject Combination: You must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, etc..
- Minimum Marks:
- General Category: At least 45% marks in the three mandatory subjects taken together.
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD): At least 40% marks in the three mandatory subjects taken together.
- English Language: You must have at least 30% marks in English at the 10+2 level.
3. Specific Course Criteria
- Pharmacy: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology.
- Architecture: 50% aggregate in 10+2 and 50% in PCM. Additionally, a valid NATA or JEE Main Paper-II score is mandatory.
- Marine Engineering: Requires 60% in PCM and 50% in English (either in Class 10 or 12).
4.0WBJEE Application Fees 2026
The Board has moved to a paperless payment module. You can pay your fees via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or QR Code.

5.0Step-by-Step Registration Guide
Follow these steps carefully to complete your WBJEE 2026 application.
Step 1: Registration
Visit the official website and click on "New Candidate Registration." Enter your personal details:
- Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name.
- Date of Birth and Gender.
- Contact details (Valid Mobile Number and Email ID). Warning: Once submitted, you cannot edit your name, parents' names, gender, domicile, or date of birth.
Step 2: Create Password
Set a strong password and security question. Note down your system-generated Application Number immediately.
Step 3: Fill Application Form
Log in and enter academic details, religion, nationality, and category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/TFW). You must also choose three examination zones in order of preference.
Step 4: Document Upload
You must upload scanned JPG/JPEG images of your recent photo and signature.
- Photograph: 10 KB to 200 KB (Recent, color, white background preferred).
- Signature: 4 KB to 30 KB.
- Note: In 2026, the board uses AI face recognition and supports Digilocker for fetching documents.
Step 5: Fee Payment
Pay the fee based on your category using the online payment gateway.
Step 6: Confirmation Page
After payment, you must download the Confirmation Page. Your application is not complete without it.
6.0Domicile Requirements: The "West Bengal" Advantage
To claim seats under the state quota or reserved categories, you must be a domicile of West Bengal.
Who is a Domicile?
- You have been residing in West Bengal for at least 10 continuous years as of 31.12.2025.
- Your parent(s) are permanent residents of West Bengal with a permanent address in the state.
Required Proformas:
- Proforma A1: For candidates residing in the state for 10+ years.
- Proforma A2: Signed by the Head of the Institution where you passed/are appearing for 10+2.
- Proforma B: For candidates whose parents are permanent residents but the student resides elsewhere.
7.0Important Rules for the Correction Window
If you make a mistake (excluding primary registration data), you can use the Correction Period (April 10–12, 2026) to fix it.
- Non-Editable Fields: Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Gender, Domicile, and Date of Birth.
- The Board will not make corrections on your behalf.
