Choosing your exam zone is not just about proximity; there are specific rules based on your residency:
- Candidates from West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura: You must select any three zones from the entire list provided above in your order of preference.
- Candidates from Other States: If you reside outside West Bengal, Assam, or Tripura, your choices are restricted to specific zones. You must select any three zones from the following list:

- Kolkata: Salt Lake/New Town (Zone Code 31)
- Kolkata: South Kolkata (Zone Code 32)
- Kolkata: West Kolkata (Zone Code 33)

Note: There are no exam centres in other states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, or Uttar Pradesh.
4.0How to Check Your Allotted Exam Centre?
You will not know your exact examination venue immediately after registration. The Board will allot a centre based on your submitted preferences and the availability of seats at those locations.
- Admit Card Release: The final allotted exam centre address, name, and specific instructions will be mentioned on your WBJEE 2026 Admit Card.
- Release Date: Candidates can download the hall ticket starting from May 15, 2026.

What to Bring (Mandatory Documents)
You must carry the following to enter the hall. Without these, entry will be strictly prohibited:
- Printed Admit Card: A hard copy of your WBJEE 2026 admit card. Digital copies on phones are not accepted.
- Original Photo ID Proof: Any one of the following in original:

Important Timings
- Arrival: Reach the centre at least 60 minutes before the start of the test.

- Strict Entry: No candidate will be allowed to enter the centre after the scheduled start time of the test under any circumstances.
Prohibited Items (Leave These at Home!)
Do not carry the following items into the examination hall, or your candidature will be cancelled:
- Any written or printed material.
- Calculators, pen, or log tables.
- Electronic devices: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, or laptops.
- Wristwatches of any kind.
Instructions Inside the Hall
- OMR Matching: When you receive your question booklet, ensure the OMR number and question booklet number are the same. If they don't match, ask the invigilator for a replacement immediately.
- Bubbling: Carefully darken the appropriate circles for your roll number and question booklet series. Incorrect entries may lead to rejection of your OMR sheet.
- Rough Work: Only use the space provided in the question booklet for rough work.
- Leaving the Seat: You cannot leave your seat without permission or leave the hall until the test is completely over and all OMRs are collected.
