Ranking Criteria for AP EAPCET

This year, rankings will be different because the Class 12 exams were cancelled. The rankings will be based solely on your AP EAPCET scores, without considering your 10+2 scores, which is a change from the usual practice where 10+2 scores had a 25% weightage in the ranking.

Note: Only students who have studied PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in Class 12 will have their 10+2 scores considered. SC/ST candidates are exempt from qualifying marks.

5.0AP EAPCET 2026 Results: The Normalization Process

AP EAPCET 2026 will be conducted in different sessions, all covering the same topics and question types. However, the questions' difficulty levels might vary slightly between sessions. To make things fair for all students, AP EAPCET uses a normalization process to account for these differences in difficulty.

6.0What is the Tie-Breaking Rule in the AP EAPCET Result 2026

If two or more students get the same marks in the AP EAPCET exam, here's how the tie will be broken:

  • First, the student with better marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher.
  • If there's still a tie, then the one with higher marks in Physics will get a higher rank.
  • If the tie continues, the student with a higher percentage in their qualifying exam will be ranked higher.
  • Finally, if there's still a tie, the older student will be given the higher rank.
